Hey boys,
Excellent job out there today. The coaches are really impressed with how well all of you played today, especially considering we have not practiced game situations yet.
All of you are hitting, fielding and throwing great.
Special kudos to Berent, who took a hard grounder off the chin and still managed to keep the ball in front of him and make the throw to second -- very nearly getting the force out. Great job hanging in there, Berent.
Also, we had to put Owen on the 15-day DL with a broken foot. We're hopeful he'll miss the minimum three weeks so that he'll be back by the time the season starts. Stay off that foot, Owen, and get well soon!
Practice is at 8:45 a.m. Saturday at Snowden Field. We'll wrap up by 10 a.m.
