Practice Recap

(From April 25)

Great practice today, guys. We got to 5 in the game of "10." Soon, we will be getting to 10 with no trouble, and we'll bump that up to 20. Keep up the good work.

Let's practice tomorrow from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at Snowden Field.

Relay throws from the outfield are critical:
  • Balls to left field and center field: SS is the cutoff man; 2B covers 2B.
  • Balls to right field: 2B is the cutoff man; SS covers 2B.
Also, cutoff men must make sure they line up the outfielder with 2B, get those arms up so the outfielder has a target and yell so he knows where you are.

By the end of the year, this will all be second nature.

See you Sunday,
James

P.S. -- Coach Barnes and I have enough water/Gatorade to quench the thirst of an army, but that is for after the practice. Beginning tomorrow, I will bring a water cooler for scheduled water breaks during practice.
